I purchased one for my 16 month old Staffordshire bull terrier, who weighs 15 kg and it fit perfectly. I also ordered the SAME size for my seven week old Amstaff puppy who weighed 5kg And both harnesses were so easy to adjust and get a perfect fit for both dogs‼️
Harnesses don't impede movement for play or walks the handles at the top are great to help little dogs into the car. I was highly skeptical of their sizing, but trust the process worth every single penny knowing that my dogs are secure in their harness, and unable to roam around in the car so if an accident did occur, they are not flying projectiles.

This is one of the few crash tested harnesses for pets...find the video on Youtube. To be extra safe, I thread the actual seatbelt through the substantail harness loops/handles. Having experience in the infant car seat arena, I have converted my lap sash seatbelts into a fixed lap belt, using a "gated buckle" available at Baby stores...they are often used to secure infant seats. Having the seat belt like this, made it easier for my dogs and they didn't get as tangled. They have adjusted well to them and just sit and put up with it.
It takes a little bit of time to initially adjust the harness for a correct fit, but it's not difficult and the numbering system on the straps makes it easy to get it even.
If your dog is between sizes, I would lean towards the smaller size. The harnesses are a solid unit, and the chest piece is not super flexible....and it could sit quite "large" on some dogs.
